Self-Help Enterprises (SHE) is seeking a Network Technician to join our IT team. Depending on your experience, you may join at the entry, mid, or advanced level, with clear opportunities to grow.
As a Network Technician at SHE, you’ll play a critical role in supporting computer systems, networks, and staff across the organization. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software, support end-users, and help ensure SHE’s IT infrastructure runs efficiently and securely. This position works closely with staff at all levels—so communication skills, teamwork, and a solutions-focused attitude are key.
Key Responsibilities by Level
Network Technician 1 (Entry Level)
- Serve as the first point of contact for staff IT support requests.
- Provide troubleshooting and remote/on-site support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Escalate complex issues to senior technicians as needed.
- Maintain IT inventory and assist with equipment setup, installation, and relocation.
- Record support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist with staff IT training and provide clear communication to non-technical users.
Network Technician 2 (Mid Level)
- Handle issues escalated from Technician 1 and provide advanced troubleshooting.
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, network infrastructure, and peripherals.
- Enter new equipment purchases into inventory systems.
- Provide training, support, and documentation for staff.
- Contribute to process improvements and IT project implementations.
- Work independently while collaborating with the IT team to support system reliability and security.
The position requires proficiency with Windows 10 and 11 Pro operating Systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams). Additionally, it requires experience with cabling, computer hardware repair, and software troubleshooting. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, DocuSign, and MS Dataverse is desirable.
Must Haves
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems (hardware, software, and networks).
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for working with non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Willingness to travel throughout the SHE service area and occasional evening/weekend work.
- Experience and skills aligned with entry, mid, or advanced IT support roles (depending on level).
