Position Description

As a Project Manager, you will assist the Bottled Water Manager in implementing emergency services programs and leading a team in highly diverse and disadvantaged communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley. You should understand and empathize with the needs of communities, families, and individuals affected by emergency and water-related crises, as this position blends the technical aspects of operations management with direct service provision to diverse participants throughout the San Joaquin Valley.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist the Bottled Water Manager in all aspects of the Bottled Water Program, including:
  • Read and interpret policies, plans, contracts, funding agreements, and similar documents.
  • Supervise, train, and review the work of the Bottled Water staff, including daily operations and tasks.
  • Review complicated cases and make eligibility determinations based on existing program criteria,
  • Coordinate services with other programs within the Emergency Services department and other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Handle escalated customer service issues to ensure positive outcomes while complying with applicable policies and funding restrictions.
  • Prepare reports and other documentation to support invoicing, budgeting, and decision-making related to the program.
  • May conduct outreach to communities to increase program awareness and enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual English and Spanish is highly desired
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Be detail-oriented and a self-starter.
  • Capacity to work effectively on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong computer skills (Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work from a Corporate Office at least two days out of a five-day work week.
