Position Description
As
a Project Manager, you will assist the Water Well Manager in implementing
emergency services programs and lead a team in highly diverse and disadvantaged
communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley. You should understand and
empathize with the needs of communities, families, and individuals affected by
emergency and water-related crises, as this position blends the technical
aspects of operations management with direct service provision to diverse
participants throughout the San Joaquin Valley.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Water Well Manager in
all aspects of the Water Well program, including:
- Read and interpret policies,
plans, contracts, funding agreements, and similar documents.
- Review documents and conduct data
entry with accuracy.
- Supervise, train, and review the
work of Water Well staff, including daily operations & tasks.
- Assist with quality control
document review of grant financing packages and participant files to
confirm eligibility via income, property, and title verification.
- Assist with working with
contractors directly regarding final grant approval documents, including
but not limited to Terms of Awards and updated Final Estimates.
- Assist with the funding process
on water well files, including but not limited to participants,
contractors, accounting, and field staff.
- Review complicated cases and make
eligibility determinations based on existing program criteria.
- Evaluate processes and procedures
to ensure efficiency and make recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate services with other
programs within the Emergency Services department and other departments
within the organization.
- Maintain effective working
relationships with vendors and partners.
- Handle escalated customer service
issues to ensure positive outcomes while complying with applicable
policies and funding restrictions.
- Prepare reports and other
documentation to support invoicing, budgeting, and decision-making related
to the program.
- May conduct outreach to
communities to increase program awareness and enrollment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual proficiency in
English/Spanish is desirable but not required.
- Loan/Grant Processing experience.
- Ability to work independently and
as a team member.
- Ability to maintain
confidentiality of information.
- Be detail-oriented and a
self-starter.
- Capacity to work effectively on
multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Four-year college degree or
equivalent work experience.
- Strong computer skills (Office
365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Effective oral and written
communication skills.
- Familiar with property ownership
documents, including Grant Deeds and Property Profiles.
- Capability to work from a
Corporate Office at least two days out of a five-day work week.
