Position Description
Self-Help Enterprises is recruiting for a Resident Services
Manager, a new position in the Resident Services program. The Resident
Services team empowers residents in SHE's multifamily affordable housing
communities to take charge of their lives and well-being by leveraging strong
relationships, community connections, and shared resources. The Resident
Services program is focused on creating lasting, positive change and building
vibrant, inclusive communities where all individuals can thrive.
As the Resident Services Manager, you will lead a dynamic
team of professionals working toward a vision where everyone has a safe and
stable home and a sense of belonging. You will provide strategic leadership and
support to a team of experienced Housing Specialists, driving them to achieve
high-impact goals that enhance the well-being of residents in our multifamily
housing communities. Additionally, you will lead significant change
initiatives, including adopting a new operational framework, a comprehensive
data collection and reporting plan, and an innovative fund development
strategy. You should be entrepreneurial, have proven experience leading teams
and organizational change, and possess strong leadership and fund development
skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic plan
implementation for the Department, ensuring alignment with organizational
goals.
- Supervise, guide, and
coach Department staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Support staff in
implementation of project-specific service delivery plans and assist with
periodic service plan updates.
- Oversee qualitative and
quantitative data collection and analysis to inform program improvements
and outcomes.
- Develop and deliver
quarterly and annual reports that highlight outcome data from multifamily
housing communities.
- Collaborate with
Director of Resident Services to implement the fund development strategy,
including grant writing, grant oversight and reporting, and building and
sustaining relationships with foundations.
- Regularly communicate
key achievements, challenges, and opportunities to supervisor and
executive leadership.
- Assist the Director and
Resident Services team in managing relationships with critical partners to
support the team's vision.
- Track best practices in
affordable housing resident services and permanent supportive housing;
State and Federal Policy pertaining to the Department; and other funding
and regulatory issues.
- Engage staff in ongoing,
in-depth review and analysis of program operations, community needs, and
program resources.
- Provide feedback on the
development of service delivery plans for new projects in development and
coordinate with the Real Estate Development team on application
materials.
- Maintain effective
communication with SHE partners, funders, and regulators in a way that
furthers positive working relationship.
- Prepare program and
project budgets, review fiscal data, and effectively manage within
budget.
- Develop and draft
policies and procedures, memorandums of understanding, and other written
assignments.
- Facilitate meetings with
internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent SHE to
communities, agencies, the media, and participants.
Must Haves
- Demonstrated leadership
skills, including successfully managing and coaching a team toward
achieving high-impact goals.
- Strong computer skills
(Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management tools).
- Ability to analyze data
and trends and create and maintain records.
- Experience and success
with grant writing and/or fund development.
- Strong communication and
partnership skills.
- A four-year college
degree or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with or
strong interest in learning about the issues affecting San Joaquin Valley
residents with lower incomes or who have experienced homelessness.
Type: Full-time
Pay: $6,926.00 to $9,282.00 per MONTH
